how long does a bank drop last

i’m having trouble understanding how the bank drop doesn’t get closed while you’re waiting for the debit card to be shipped to your physical drop. do you wait until you have the card to start putting money into the bank drop? does the bank care if you’re having the card shipped to an address in a different state than the fullz address? is that why people are using cashapp/coinbase/casinos and buying btc? any and all information greatly appreciated since im still a noob
