Litecoin Announces Completion of Privacy Upgrade – Is Litecoin is good DNM cryptocurrency now?

Saw in the news that Litecoin recently completed a privacy upgrade called Mimblewimble Extension Block (MWEB). Could Litecoin be an alternative to Monero now for truly private transactions? Does anything need to be done by either side to enable the extra privacy?
